G'Day!!

Who am I??

Let me introduce myself, I'm Amanda and I'm currently 33-year-old living in a small town in Australia called Wellington. I just enrolled into a diploma of nutrition with Torren's University Australia. I'll be doing this course online and it will make me qualified to be a nutrition consultant when I complete the course. I start the course on the 12th of September 2022.

So, let's get to know me.

My life was pretty average until I hit around 25 or 27 when my Neighbour's daughter tried running me down with her car to the point, I felt the car up against my legs. I almost lost my footing when she backed off. How do I know it was my Neighbour's daughter? Because about a week before it happened, she yelled out "don't worry they'll be dead soon" and when I put a Facebook post up about it, she came out the front of my house and threatened to do it again. This caused me to spill out of control unnoticeable to me, but my mum could tell my mental health was declining and it wasn't until around October when I was 29-year-old that I was hospitalized in Liverpool hospital for hearing voices and seeing things. They assumed it was psychosis it wasn't until I got back to my mum's place that I discovered by my mental health doctor that not only did I have anxiety but now I have schizophrenia. But they think I could have schizoaffective disorder where you have a mixer of bipolar and schizophrenia. They can't diagnose me because they have to wait for me to have a high which I believe is a maniac episode.

Because of the medication they have put me on like antidepressants and antipsychotic it has caused me from going from my regular weight of around 55 to now 70 which is a lot since I'm only short at 5'2 and half and very small build. Now coming up 5 years since being on the medication I've decided to take my health more seriously since it makes standing and walking difficult. So yesterday I signed up to the gym and signed up to a diploma of nutrition which I got accepted into today. I hope to help myself but also other people including my mum who suffers from diabetes.

This blog will be a place I can document my personal health journey but also my journey to becoming a nutrition consultant/advisor.
