Just Your Regular Catch Up!
Nothing new has happened in the past few days besides discovering I'm still enrolled into my certificate of lifestyle coaching which I think will compliment my nutrition course as they have common topics in both courses. I haven't done much studying recently, but I can share some of my past lessons I have done in my lifestyle coaching course with you below.
Here we learned about the important of a balance diet and how using the healthy food guide can be beneficial to us when planning our food meals. I can't remember the exact details, but I believe it was to do with carbs and macronutrients and how they affect the body.
Here we have a screen shot of my course material about carbohydrates and glycemic response in the body. I really wish I could remember what this was about, but I believe it was something to do with how its processed in the body and how well it produces energy for the body. I'll write more on this topic later on in my studies.
On a different note, I have discovered that anyone can do any course on nutrition and call themselves a nutritionist which is really scary as its not regulated in Australia. Yet to be a dietitian you have to be full qualified which is a 4-year course. crazy? I know! After looking up the board of nutrition of Australia I have discovered that out of all the nutritionist located in the next town from me only one is fully qualified and listed with the board. This is what also drives me to become a nutritionist because these people can give out any advice and not be qualified and God knows what damage they are causing without knowing. Which is why my main reason after doing my diploma I'm thinking of doing my bachelor's degree and hope to become a fully qualified nutritionist. Plus, there is no one in my town who is a nutritionist, and we could use that service here a lot. Especially for those who have issues with their diet and want to be healthy but don't know where to start.
We don't need fake nutritionist giving out advice that you should consume lemon water as soon as you wake up because you're only going to damage your teeth in the end. Which no one wants!
It's bad enough we have influences using their fad diets to influence people into eating the wrong food or eating not enough food to keep them full during the day. My message is simple don't trust the internet and dont believe the influences because they can tell you anything and everything because they aren't a trained nutritionist or dietitian.
What would you like to see on future posts??
P.S If you want a good nutritionist to follow on social media, I highly suggest Lyndi Cohen Nude Nutritionist.
